Less than strain, Iranian MPs postpone world wide web restriction bill | Net News

Tehran, Iran – Iran’s parliament has suspended its overview of a hugely controversial monthly bill that a minister, citizens and businesses say will only guide to more net limits in the region.

The bill, initial proposed a few decades in the past, is titled “Protecting Consumers in Cyberspace and Organising Social Media” but critics say it is aimed at introducing much more controls in a place where by most distinguished world services are presently banned.

An online petition calling for the laws to be scrapped has now garnered close to 50 percent a million signatures.
